Engage Directly, Impact Immediately
Take a hands-on approach and make an instant impact. Join us on-site to directly contribute to the well-being of families facing adversity in our temporary shelter.
Youth Development Program
Join our Youth Development Program as a volunteer or intern! Seeking creative, empathetic individuals ready to impact the lives of at-risk children. Roles involve supervision, tutoring, mentoring, activity coordination, and field trip planning. Evening and weekend hours available.
Serving Supper
We invite you to provide or prepare dinner for all of our families (approximately 60 people) as well as facilitate activities for the children (approximately 45) while their parents attend a mandatory parenting class on Thursday nights.
Plan a Children's Party
Host a memorable Holiday Party for Thomas House children! We invite volunteers to provide food and fun activities, celebrating occasions from Valentine’s to Christmas. Your participation adds joy and warmth to our community celebrations, making each event truly special for everyone involved.
Service Projects
Thomas House welcomes dedicated volunteers to assist in various aspects of general building maintenance and repairs. Whether it’s organizing our food pantry, adding a fresh coat of paint to an apartment unit, or staging a space for a new move-in, the range of projects allows volunteers to contribute meaningfully to our community. Ideal for groups with 3-5 volunteers, this service opportunity is a perfect way to make a tangible impact on the well-being of those we serve.

Bake a Cake
Make one of our residents feel special on their birthday by baking or donating a birthday cake. We can provide their favorite flavors and interests to match their personalities. Add a little sparkle by adding balloons and candles!
Donation Drives
Hosting a donation drive is a great way to support our families, collecting the needed essentials for everyday life. Invite your friends, family members, and coworkers to contribute to the drive by donating and spreading the word. Need ideas on what to collect? We can provide a list of items currently needed.
