Who is eligible for services at Thomas House?
Our services are designed to support families with children under the age of 18 at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. Eligibility criteria may include income levels, family status, and the nature of your current housing crisis. Please contact us directly for a full assessment.
What defines a family?
We define a family as any adult(s) with a custodial relationship with children. This includes families of all compositions and can include multi-generational families.
How can I apply for assistance from Thomas House?
To apply for assistance, please fill out our online application form or contact our office to schedule an intake appointment. Our staff will guide you through the application process and required documentation.
How long can families stay in the transitional shelter?
The duration of stay varies depending on the specific needs and circumstances of each family. Our goal is to support families until they are able to transition to stable, permanent housing. This process typically ranges from a 6-9 months.
Is my stay at Thomas House confidential?
Yes, we respect the privacy and confidentiality of all our families. Information about your stay and the services you receive will not be shared without your consent, except as required by law.
