Help Them Home Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraiser powered by the reach of social media and the convenience of online giving.

Backed by the Orange County Community Foundation, Thomas House Family Shelter and 27 other Orange County homeless service providers join forces to collectively raise funds in an effort to end homelessness.

Since then, Vanessa continues to grow and apply the skills she learned during her time at Thomas House. She purchased a car utilizing the financial skills she learned through budgeting with her Case Manager and parenting classes, giving her reliable transportation to work. Vanessa, also, maintains a strong relationship with the childcare provider Thomas House connected her with. This ensures stability for her children and directly contributes to Vanessa’s excellent standing at her job. Vanessa continues to take part in our Homeless Prevention program by meeting regularly with her Case Manager and receiving pantry services weekly.

Vanessa shares that “I am grateful for the Homeless Prevention program for holding me accountable”. She’s proud of her hard work and accomplishments. Her inspiring journey highlights the impact of being part of an empowering community, dedication, and consistency. We look forward to supporting her achieve her next goal of continuing to save to purchase a house in the next five years.
